First stop at Batubulan to see the colorful and exciting Barong Dance, After the performance drive through the Balinese countryside to Celuk, famous for its gold and silver works. You can watch skilled artisans creating exquisite pieces form gold and silver, Mas, a village famous for its impressive wood carvings then Ubud Art Village, the artistic heart of Bali, visit traditional art market.
Continue to the royal temple of Mengwi – Pura Taman Ayun, Dating from 1634, this picturesque temple complex surrounded by a moat, with multi roofed MERU shrines and intricately carved wooden gates.
Leave the relatively flat rice fields behind and climb higher to see tiny rice plots of steep mountainside terraces. Stop at Pacung to enjoy the spectacular surrounding view. In the mountains, vegetation changes and you'll see cabbages, maize and potatoes. Higher still, still the countryside is alpine with mosses, creepers and ferns. Visit Candi Kuning fruit and flower market with its exotic wild orchids, roses and even strawberries.
Next stop is Bedugul – an attractive mountain resort located 850 m above sea level. Serene Lake Beratan fills the ancient crater of Mount Batukaru and the local people honor the goddess of the waters, Dewi Danu. The delightful small temple of Ulun Danu dedicated to this goddess, is built on a small promontory on the lake.
Stop for Lunch at local restaurant with Indonesia Food Buffet.
We then proceed to the sacred Monkey forest, a cluster of towering trees that is home to hundreds of monkeys.
Last stop is Tanah Lot, famous in Bali as the Sunset Temple, Experience the sunset beyond the black lava towers of the sacred 16 th century temple, built on a black lava rock 200 meters of shore. Tide conditions permitting, you can walk across the beach to the temple.
