BS 02. Besakih & Bat Cave Tours

The tour is a perfect introduction to Bali's fascinating culture and country side, first stop is the stone carving village of Batubulan to see the colorful and exciting Barong Dance, After the performance visit one of the many art galleries and catch the artists at work. Stop at Celuk Village, famous for its gold and silver works. You can watch skilled artisans creating exquisite pieces form gold and silver.Then drive through the Balinese countryside to Mas Village, a village famous for its impressive wood carvings, a stop is made at one of the many wood carving factories where you can see artisans chipping intricate designs form blocks of wood.

Kertagosa, the hall of justice in Klungkung, which dates from the 18 th century. Interesting classical paintings can be viewed on the ceiling, portraying visions of heaven and hell.

Continue up into the mountains, Besakih Temple, almost 1.000 m above sea level. Besakih is ‘Mother Temple' of Bali probably originated as a prehistoric sanctuary where offerings were made to the god of Mount Agung. The complex houses 30 temples made up to 7 levels of terraces in the mountainside.

A stop is made for lunch at one of restaurant which serve Indonesian Buffet.

Stopping to admire the view from Bukit Jambul over rice terraces with the sea glistening in the distance.

Last visit Goa Lawah (Bat Cave) Temple at Kusamba Beach where the traditional salt maker and fisherman village.
