Visiting the royal temple of Mengwi – Pura Taman Ayun, Dating from 1634, this picturesque temple complex surrounded by a moat, with multi roofed MERU shrines and intricately carved wooden gates.
Leave the relatively flat rice fields behind and climb higher to see tiny rice plots of steep mountainside terraces. Stop at Pacung to enjoy the spectacular surrounding view. In the mountains, vegetation changes and you'll see cabbages, maize and potatoes. Higher still, still the countryside is alpine with mosses, creepers and ferns. Visit Candi Kuning fruit and flower market with its exotic wild orchids, roses and even strawberries.
Next stop is Bedugul – an attractive mountain resort located 850 m above sea level. Serene Lake Beratan fills the ancient crater of Mount Batukaru and the local people honor the goddess of the waters, Dewi Danu. The delightful small temple of Ulun Danu dedicated to this goddess, is built on a small promontory on the lake.

Continue to GWK Cultural Park then the southern cliff's of Bali. Rocky precipice drop almost 100 meters to the ocean. The famous small temple of Pura Luhur Uluwatu balances picturesquely on the cliff's edge. Dating from the 16th century. It is one of the six temples of hte world revered by all balinese. We are waiting for beatiful sunset in this temple.
